Andrea Fritz is a Coast Salish artist and storyteller from the Lyackson First Nation of the Hul’q'umi’num'-speaking Peoples on the West Coast of Canada. She studied West Coast Native art with Victor Newman, a Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw master artist. Andrea strives to express her People’s history and all our futures using her art.

At NY Comic Con with Rev Valdez and Rachel Dinunzio

Author- Illustrators Rev Valdez (Bunso Meets a Mumu) and Rachel Dinunzio (Forsynthia and Scarlett's Symphony) appeared at New York Comic-Con’s FamilyHQ on October 14th for a drawing workshop for kids and their families! Their hands on workshop guided kids through key steps to create characters and stories, While at NYCC, Valdez was interviewed for the Comic News Insider Podcast by Jimmy Aquino. After telling Jimmy how much he enjoyed his first trip to New York City, Rev spoke about influences from Filipino Folklore in his book, from favorite foods to monsters and ghost stories like Bunso!
